GovHack this Friday

This Friday through Sunday we're helping host GovHack - an international 46-hour challenge to take public government data and do something useful or creative with it!

If you have skills or interest in programming, data science, design, media, or just want to give it a go, then GovHack is a great competition to get involved in. You can learn more & register on the website here: https://govhack.org/

Past highlights from the challenge include DirtyWatts - a quick visual indicator of how much of NZ's power is coming from CO2-producing sources, Bindii - a Pokemon Go clone for native birds and wildlife, and Lenny - a tool that used your card payments to pick out what stores you might have been exposed to at the peak of COVID.
