Kiwijam is New Zealand's own homegrown annual in-person game jam, and Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland is ready to go again. Kiwijam Auckland is co-hosted by UoA's Maker Club and Game Developer Guild.
When: 24th to 26th July 2026
Where: Unleash Space, UoA Engineering Building, Auckland CBD
Over 48 (ish) hours, newcomers and veterans alike come together to design and build a game from scratch around a theme revealed at the start of the event. Board games, digital games, card games, whatever you can make together in time.
No experience needed. Programmers, artists, writers, builders and total beginners are all welcome. Kiwijam is, and always will be, free to attend. Come with friends or form teams on the day, and we promise a weekend to remember.
